Standards & Corrections

When we get something wrong, we say so — quickly, and in plain sight.

How we correct errors

Errors of fact are corrected at the top of the affected article with a timestamp and a brief explanation of what was wrong. Minor typographical fixes are made silently. Substantive editorial changes — additions of new information, retractions, or material rewrites — are noted in an editor's note appended to the story.

Reporting an error

If you believe we have published an error, write to corrections@lumenwire.news with the URL, the specific claim you are challenging, and any supporting material. We aim to respond within one business day.

Recent corrections

Our public corrections log is published below and is updated as corrections are made. We retain corrections indefinitely.

  • No corrections issued in the past 30 days.

Right of reply

Subjects of significant critical coverage are offered an opportunity to respond before publication wherever practical. Where a response is provided after publication, it is added to the article in full, subject only to ordinary edits for length and legal compliance.
